Correa Selected To Lead HPU Baseball

AUGUST 15, 2018 - MARYSVILLE, CA:  Former hYuba-Sutter Gold Sox manager Dallas Correra was named Hawaii Pacific University Head Coach on Tuesday.   Correa joined the Gold Sox as a Hitting Coach in 2016 and took over as Field Manager in 2017. Correa was previously the Assistant Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for Hawaii Pacific University.

“This is a great opportunity for Dallas and we’re extremely happy for him. He is an extremely hardworking and analytical in his approach to coaching,” said VP/GM Michael Mink.
HPU is an NCAA Division II school that plays in the PacWest Conference. For Correa, this is his first time as a head coach at the collegiate level.  Correa, a Hanapepe native, will be among the youngest college head coaches at just 25 years old.
"A big mahalo to Mr. Michael Mink and the entire Gold Sox Organization for my first head coaching opportunity in college baseball. Very humbled and excited for the next step in my career at Hawaii Pacific University and glad that I was able to develop as both a person and coach through my experience in Marysville, CA,” said Correa.

Correa graduated from Saint Louis School in Honolulu in 2011. There, he was a two-time All-Interscholastic League of Honolulu catcher, a two-time ILH champion and was named an Under Armour Preseason All-American.
