one step closer to the big leagues



MARCH 3, 2017 - MEDFORD, OR:  Broadcast and Communications Manager, Emma Tiedemann, will be leaving the Rogues to be the Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant for the St. Paul Saints. Tiedemann has been ‘The Voice of the Rogues’ since 2015 and handled media relations and communications for Medford as well.

“We’re thrilled for Emma and the next step in her career! We are sad to be losing such an asset to our team; she has done a great job at building the Rogues’ broadcasting and communications over the past two years. It’s always exciting when staff and players move on to the next step of achieving their goals and dreams” said Acting General Manager Carolyn Birch.

The St. Paul Saints are a professional baseball team in St. Paul, Minnesota in the North Division of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball. The Saints are known for their motto of “Fun is Good” with promotions that make national headlines such as having Little Red Porkette as their ball pig and honoring the legacy of Prince with One Last Purple Game. The broadcast is simulcast on television and radio.

Emma began broadcasting at age 15, for the University of Texas at Dallas. At UTD, she broadcasted men and women’s basketball, volleyball along with softball and baseball alongside her grandfather, and 65 year MLB and NFL veteran broadcaster, Bill Mercer. While attending the University of Missouri she called Mizzou games, adding football to her resume, most notably, the 2014 Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. She also broadcasted and did production work for Mizzou Network. Tiedemann is the first female broadcaster in the Great West League and shares that distinction in the West Coast League and Alaska Baseball League.


The Medford Rogues is a wood-bat collegiate summer baseball team headed into its fifth season and is part of the Great West League.
