Established in 1977, Consolidated Sports Holdings (CSH) International has experience in the successful development and operation of professional sports franchises and facilities. As well as facility management, hospitality, special events, and concessions.  ​We are able to stay committed to our operating philosophies of operating first class franchises, helping players achieve their goals, and being great community citizens in the communities in which we operate.  Currently CSH International owns and operates ten sports properties including five hockey clubs, four baseball clubs and a golf course.

We are currently looking for an General Manager for our Medford Rouges franchise.  This position will be responsible for the day to day operation of our franchise.  They will serve as the leader of the sales department with the  primary responsibility of managing ticket programs, prospecting new business, and exploring corporate opportunities to grow revenue.  They will also serve as liaison for the ownership group with the city and the league.  In addition, they will develop and expand the organization’s database while simultaneously renewing and cultivating business from our current client base.  This highly motivated individual will possess strong oral and written communication skills and will be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Assist in the development of the annual budget and corresponding plan detailing the goals and objectives of each department for the ballclub.  Provide input and feedback on organizational initiatives, plans, direction, and strategy.

  • Provide accurate and timely financial information and forecasting information to ownership group
  • Develop and implement a plan for increasing corporate advertising, sponsorship revenue and non-baseball revenue for the facility
  • Oversee all staffing which includes hiring outstanding personnel to fill all available positions, develop job descriptions for each full-time staffer and requirements for each job, including priority task lists and conduct annual performance reviews with each staff member.
  • Develop a creative marketing campaign that includes print ads, television ads, radio ads, a vigorous website, and unique marketing tactics while establishing strong media relationships to drive ticket sales and add value to the corporate partners of the club.
  • Establish a promotional calendar for the club for all baseball games that enhances ability to drive group and individual ticket sales, reinforces value for full-season and partial-season subscriptions and maximizes the number of games the club can sell out each season.
  • Maintain ongoing management of game/event entertainment (music, p.a., video board, on-field promotions, special events) in the ballpark to deliver a consistently superior, innovative and fresh approach and to ensure maximum enjoyment by our fans.
  • Manage the club's brand by ensuring compliance with logo usage specifications for all merchandise used by the organization or approved usage by outside parties (e.g. corporate partners, group outings, etc).
  • Grow the size of the club's database of customer information with specific emphasis on the acquisition of e-mail addresses and the capturing of information for the club's corporate partners. Maintain the structure of the database to ensure the ability to target segments of the population based on prior customer behavior or attributes. Utilize the database and e-mail marketing on a regular and frequent basis during the season to implement chosen marketing initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with the leadership of local business organizations and build positive relationships with the Mayor, City Council Members, City Manager, Finance Director, Director of Parks and Recreation, state legislators and other elected and unelected public officials in the community
  • Communicate with the baseball operations department in the areas of travel, budget, payments, reimbursements and player personnel issues.   Assure that the cub has an efficient travel schedule to and from its home ballpark that minimizes player travel and club expenses.
  • Develop innovative promotional campaigns that strategically integrate with marketing, business communications, corporate sponsorship, group sales, in-game entertainment, and community relations to drive ticket sales and expand media reach.
  • Establish a promotional calendar and written plan as a component to the marketing plan for all home games. Design promotions that provide fun, affordable, family-friendly in-game entertainment. 
  • Implement all promotions in a proactive manner throughout the year and communicate in advance the key aspects of each promotion to the staff and appropriate media partners in a timely manner.
  • Actively prospect and sell tickets and advertising partnership programs.   Responsible for sales calls (cold calls, lead generation, renewal calls and prospecting) for Premium Sales, Hospitality Areas, Group Events, Mini-Season Seat and Full Season Seat Memberships.
  • Daily maintenance of personal client list to ensure highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer service issues and complaints.
  • Manage additional projects as directed by the ownership group.

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of sales and management experience with a sports environment. A strong preference to those with experience within college athletics or minor league baseball and with previous success in sales.

  • Superior communication and organizational skills, collaborative with strong influencing and interpersonal skills; someone who will work well in the community.
  • A strong results-oriented sales professional who exacts the most from direct as well as indirect reports by setting clear goals, providing feedback, mentoring and coaching.
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
  • Experience managing a diverse staff of both full-time and part-time employees.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including holidays and weekends.
  • Basic working knowledge of accounting principles

Physical Requirements
Extended hours of work between the months of May to September. Candidate must have the ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment.
